The end of Semester 1 is approaching! Grades close on Friday, January 19th. Students will receive their schedules for Semester 2 that Friday with their updated Related Arts classes. Core classes remain the same.

South Portland Middle School earned the 2023 Honor Award for Integration of Sustainable Features from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Maine. The award was presented to the school’s design team, WBRC, at ACEC of Maine’s 2023 Fall Forum on November 15 at the University of Maine in Orono, ME.
Some of the new school’s sustainable design features include a geothermal system, photovoltaics, and rainwater harvesting for the irrigation system. State funding allowed the city of South Portland to build a state-of-the-art consolidated middle school, while additional local funding made it possible to include many sustainable features in the project.
