All South Portland Schools will be closed today, Thursday October 26th, due to the ongoing search for the suspect in the shootings in Lewiston last night.
As the tragic shootings in Lewiston is ongoing situation, we encourage all families to follow the advice of law enforcement to stay safe at home until the perpetrator is apprehended.
We will closely monitor developments in the situation and will respond accordingly. We are in touch with the South Portland Police Department and will make a decision about the school day tomorrow, October 26th, in light of those developments.
South Portland High School (and ONLY SPHS) will have an early release today, Wednesday October 25th, because of significant plumbing issues.
Picture Retake Day: If you do not like your childโs school photo and want it redone, or if your child was absent and didnโt get a picture taken, photo retake day will be on 10/27. If you want a different (aka better) photo, have your child bring their original picture packets on retake day. You do not have to pay again.
