The South Portland Middle School Young Authors Camp was inspired by the outdoors last week! Students filled the sidewalks with messages at the Eastern Promenade and read their writings aloud at Mill Creek Park.

Summer hours are in effect at the District Office, which means that the District Office is closed on Fridays for this month: July 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. Operating hours for District Office hours are: Mondayโ€“Thursday 7:30am - 4pm Regular hours will resume in August.

Congratulations to the School Nutrition program for winning the Gulf of Maine Research Institute Tastemakers Award for innovative food offerings. Students experienced a variety of multiculturally themed seafood offerings. The seafood was responsibly harvested buy Maine fishermen and sea farmers, and prepared with the help of local chefs and community members.
