Dear South Portland Community,
The South Portland School Board is grateful for the time, perspective, and care that so many members of the community have already brought to the superintendent search process. Your participation in virtual and in-person interviews, focus groups, and ThoughtExchange has helped guide our work to this point.
We have heard feedback from some stakeholders that additional opportunities to share input are desired, particularly as we move closer to selecting our next superintendent. In response, the Board, in partnership with Zeal Education Group, is hosting a community “Meet and Greet” with the two finalist candidates.
This event will provide an opportunity for community members to meet each candidate, hear directly from them, and share written feedback before a final decision is made.

Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026
Time: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Location: South Portland Middle School (Rooms B1-04 and Multipurpose Room; enter from the District Office entrance)
Each candidate will participate in a structured session, and community members will have the opportunity to submit feedback following the event. There will not be a formal vote. The Board will review all the feedback received in their deliberation and ultimately make their selection.
