Attendance Policy
Regular school attendance is necessary for success at school. Classroom instruction and the discussions and interactions which take place are important components of the educational process.
Excusable absences under state law (Title 20-A Section 5001) include:

Personal illness

Medical appointments that cannot be made outside the regular school day.

Observance of a recognized religious holiday when the observance is required during the regular school day.

A family emergency
When family travel of an educational nature has been planned, students must notify teachers one week in advance to get assignments. Submission of any reports, assignments, or projects that would come due during the period of absence must be arranged with teachers prior to departure.
