Snack Items

The South Portland School Nutrition Program does sell snack items.

At elementary schools, the only snack item sold is milk, either white or chocolate for 50 cents per container.

At the middle and high schools snack items are available. These items are meant to supplement a school lunch or a lunch brought from home. What is sold is strictly regulated by the U. S. Department of Agriculture and must meet government standards for calories, sodium and nutrient content. Students must have cash or available funds in their meal account in order to purchase snack items.
