Successful candidate will be someone who is skilled at working with a range of disabilities in a resource setting. Experience in all aspects of special education case management to insure compliance with requirements under IDEA is required. Strong skill sets in the following areas are expected: standardized academic testing, interpreting all types of special education evaluations, writing standards based IEPs, developing positive behavior support plans, and strong direct scientifically – based instruction utilizing a variety of interventions and strategies such as Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, Spire and Wilson to maximize student success, as well as solid progress monitoring and data collection. Candidate should demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills, problem solving, flexibility, and the ability to manage and supervise several education technicians are desirable skills.
