School Nutrition Program

The mission of the South Portland School Nutrition Program is to serve healthy, nutritious meals to the students and staff of South Portland Schools.

All school meals meet USDA requirements for calories, fat, protein, calcium, iron, sodium, and vitamins A & D. Our food offerings meet USDA standards, are highly acceptable for all students, taste good, are prepared in a safe manner and served with a smile.

A lunch meal consists of a choice of entrée, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, and eight ounces of milk. Milk is served with all meals, with students provided a choice of 1% white milk, skim white milk, or fat free chocolate milk. Breakfast is available every morning for all students. Each breakfast meal consists of two grains, a choice of juice, fresh fruit and milk.
