MEETING NOTES

Present: Dave Brochu, Dan Cecil, Carrie Hall-Indorf, Jeanne Crocker, Kathy Germani, Ralph Baxter, Sr., Steve Bailey, Wendy Houlihan, Ralph Baxter, Jr., Maxine Beecher, Megan Welter, Polly Ward.

1. Welcome

2. Approval of minutes from October 27, 2005 meeting

• Approved

3. Review and feedback from community forum

• Community Forum - had about 55 people

• November 3 - Brown/Small parent groups

• Questions people asked and responses will be posted on the website

• Wendy handed out the comments on 1 vs. 2 Middle Schools

• Wendy is tallying the selections of people who have chosen to select one or the other option for the Middle Schools.

• Wendy asked to meet with the students/student councils at the high school/ middle schools.

• Dave suggested using Channel 3 after the forums are all over to ask the staff who have the answers to some of the questions raised to respond, e.g. Kevin Woodhouse on the questions regarding athletics.

• Carrie asked about arriving at a solution (either one or two middle schools) before application to the State if the Board decided to go for State funding.

4. Review of requested information

• Dan brought the latest rating list

• Dan reviewed the rating system with the committee

• Dan will ask Scott Brown for the rating sheets for schools that are similar to ours

• Wescott School - Westbrook

• White Rock School

• Mt Ararat High School
